Amongst the various Simplicity lawn mowers, the zero turn mowers may lack the versatility of the Simplicity lawn tractors, but their width of cut, speed and ability to negotiate obstacles make them effective when dealing with large areas that require a precision cut in quick time.
The Simplicity Citation is one such machine. Top of the range of zero turn Simplicity lawn mowers, it provides power, reliability and is built in a durable way, utilizing commercial grade standards in its engineering.

Driving the Simplicity Citation
The Citation is available with a 25Hp Kawasaki V-twin engine, or the more powerful 28Hp Vanguard Big Block from Briggs & Stratton. Both are strong, reliable engines from respectable companies.
Both of these Simplicity lawn mowers use the efficient automatic Hydro-Gear transmission. They are further optimised for ease of use with choke, throttle and mower engagement all controlled from the same panel.
A very important feature of the Citation is its stability. With the ride-dampening front shocks and rear Suspension system, it provides a comfortable ride even on bumpy terrain and, most importantly, it keeps all four wheels on the ground. As an added extra for driver safety, a Roll-over Protective Structure (ROPS) is installed.
Pumps are fan cooled and wheels are independently powered for extra precision, fuel management and stability. A 6.5 gallon fuel tank takes care of long single runs. Add to this the fact that the Citation develops speed of about 9mph and you can see just how much can be done with this powerful zero turn mower.
Cutting with the Simplicity Citation
Simplicity lawn mowers are sold by the company with the promise of a high quality cut and the Citation zero turn mower takes that a step further. Large 52 (132.1 cm) and 61 (154.9 cm) triple-blade cutting decks are made of 10-gauge thick steel and equipped with heavy duty, anti-scalp wheels and full width rear rollers.
The height of cut is lever-controlled and provides 14 different positions.
Combined with power of the engines and zero turn ability youll find the Citation to be a reliable cutting machine in most environments and types of grass.
Other features of the Simplicity Citation
Both models come with extra bright headlights allowing operation in low light conditions, a feature often neglected with other zero turn mowers.
Seats are large and comfortable with armrests and all controls are easy to access and ergonomically placed.
The power take-off (PTO) switch is an electric commercial heavy duty variety and an hour meter comes as standard.
