Driving the Conquest
The Conquest is built with the understanding that power needs to be controlled.
Powerful 23 and 24 horse-power engines will get you over uneven ground and the foot-pedal operated automatic transmission gives the user complete control over speed and engine behavior.
Automatic Controlled Traction supplies power continuously, whilst a foot-pedal controlled differential lock ensures extra power is delivered to both drive wheels when even more traction is required.
The Conquest comes with a 4 gallon fuel tank and separate choke and throttle levers.
The steering wheel is soft-grip padded and the steering itself is low effort or power steering (according to the model), making handling of these Simplicity lawn garden tractors a matter of ease and precision.
The Conquest can get up to about 6.1 mph going forwards and 3 mph in reverse.
Cutting with the Conquest
Simplicity lawn garden tractors always produce high quality cuts, and the Conquest is no exception. The 46 and 52 wide, triple blade, cutting decks enable you cut more grass in less time.
What’s more, the tight 18 radius, exceptional for a machine of this size, makes it easier mowing in obstacle filled areas – an orchard for example – and quicker to cover the ground you are mowing.
The cut itself is smooth and even thanks to the Free Floating mower deck system that prevents scalping on uneven terrain. The full width rear rollers follow the contours of the ground and allow you to create an excellent striped finish.

Simplicity Conquest – Conclusions
Well loved by its users, this Simplicity lawn garden tractor is often referred to as the last tractor youll ever need to buy. While its not cheap, it is cheaper than many other tractors in this class with less versatility or maneuverability.
If you have a large area that needs regular maintenance and/or if youre dealing with hilly terrain and many obstacles, the Simplicity Conquest is a good choce. These Simplicity lawn garden tractors will help you conquer your garden chores for many seasons to come.
The Conquest is available in the UK as 23/50 model – i.e. with a 23 HP Briggs and Stratton Vanguard V-twin engine and a 50 inch (127cm) triple blade mowing deck.
Otherwise, the features are pretty much as described above. The UK 23/50 model retails at around £4,100.
