(Stewartville MN Olmsted)
The first day I used the mower, the left front tire would not turn and stuck in left turn position. It destroyed the tire rim. Got it fixed.
Got it fixed, however Simplicity then said finally that the part was defective and a different part was installed.
During that back and forth problem, the mowing deck linkages fell apart, the park brake slide handle fell off, one of the pulley’s on the mowing deck fell off with the nut and thread missing, and today with my obvious frustration, the left front tire sticks in the left hand turn position again.
Three things here:
1. does the dealer really give a cr__ and stand behind the product. the warranty is out!
2. I love the engine and the cut, however the controls and outside cosmetics are cheap. These nagging issues will drive me away.
I own a Cobalt belly ride and i love it. But it’s 9 years old, rugged, does not brake down.
Years have passed and the new products today seem cheap to me. Please, someone get me out of this Prestige and get me a Legacy!
A happy mower is a loyal mower, and it will run right through the family as well.
3. If someone owns a Pretige and higher mower or Cobalt and higher, you would think that a follow through on how the ownership is working, or phone call survey, and that customer satisfaction would be #1 in Simplicity’s interest. We pay a lot of money for these machines.
